Michael Jackson Leaves Behind Two Unfinished Albums

The world may never have the chance to hear the music Michael Jackson was working on at the time of his death, but at least we get to hear about it.

Jackson collaborators spoke to Billboard about two very different albums the King of Pop was developing: one in his fame-making pop genre and also a more surprising foray into the instrumental classical vein.

Composer David Michael Frank worked with Jackson back in 1989 on a TV special and two months ago received a call from the star's assistant about collaborating again. Frank, who recalls being impressed with Jackson's knowledge of classical music, says: "He had two demos of two pieces he'd written, but they weren't complete. For one of them, he had a whole section of it done in his head. He had not recorded it. He hummed it to me as I sat at the keyboard in his pool house and we figured out the chords."

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when Jackson checked in with Frank on his recordings and went on to brainstorm about a possible jazz track. Sadly, this rarely seen side of Jackson may never be made public.

"I guess this recording I made is the only copy that exists of this music," muses Frank. "I hope one day his family will decide to record this music as a tribute and show the world the depth of his artistry."

Will Michael Jackson Be Cryogenically Frozen?

Michael Jackson INFdaily.com
More from Ask the Answer Bitch

Wasn't there a story years ago about M.J. wanting to freeze himself after death? Is there a possibility of that happening?
—T. Ellsworth, via Facebook

A family friend—a title that seems to apply to everyone—told the press in 2005 that Michael Jackson did explore cryogenic preservation during his child-molestation trial. Michael Luckman claimed that Jackson was so afraid of dying in prison he planned to have his body frozen so that it could be brought back at a later date.

A Jackson family attorney didn't comment at the time. As for whether that might happen now, the family hasn't indicated any penchant for freezing the pop icon.

This by far isn't the only outstanding question about Jackson. Here are some more, plus—hey, bonus!—some answers.

Some loser joked about M.J.'s nose falling off on stage when he was awake, is it true?

Week in Review: Jackson Mania, a JoBro Proposal, Kendra's Wedding and a Farrah Farewell

Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Kevin Jonas, Kendra Wilkinson

Remember when all the news was Twilight-related? Alas, not so much these days.

Another week dominated by Michael Jackson headlines is behind us. But as the King of Pop's family scrambled to make funeral and tribute arrangements and as authorities continue to probe the prescription-med situation, some rays of lighthearted news started to show through the cracks. Here's how it went down on E! Online...

1. Considering the bizarre life he led, it's no surprise that MJ's death is turning out to be pretty weird, too. From dad Joe promoting his own record label to Jackson's baby mama (the real one) turning up to throw a wrench into the artist's will-stipulated wishes, we're sensing that the circus has only just begun. At least it looks as if the King of Pop himself will be resting in peace soon enough, and rehearsal video shows him looking happy in his final days.

2. On the potentially criminal side of things, the DEA is collaborating with the LAPD's investigation into Jackson's death, and there are supposedly plenty of doctors and other peeps ripe for the interviewin'.

3. On the complete flip side of the news spectrum, Kevin Jonas is engaged! The 21-year-old Jonas Brother presented his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Deleasa, with a rock he helped design on Wednesday. But dry your eyes, Mrs. Jonas hopefuls—there are still two brothers where he came from!

4. Kendra Wilkinson and NFL stud Hank Baskett tied the knot at the Playboy Mansion, with Hef, Bridget and Holly in attendance. Then it was off to St. Lucia for the honeymoon, where they hoped to get lots of good nudity in before their first child arrives this Christmas.

5. Friends and family gathered for Farrah Fawcett's private funeral at an L.A. cathedral Tuesday. Ryan O'Neal and son Redmond served as pallbearers and read Bible passages, while best friend Alana Stewart delivered a eulogy. Just watching the procession on a wee video screen brought tears to our eyes.

Oscar Watch: Megan Fox for Best Actress?

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Jaime Trueblood/ DreamWorks Pictures

Now that the Oscars has expanded its Best Picture field to 10 films, things are going to get Cocoa Puffs crazy: The Hangover and Paul Blart for Best Picture; Transformers' Megan Fox for Best Actress.

Er, right…?

Wrong, say the Vegas oddsmaker, the Industry exec and the film professor we touched base with regarding the Academy's new big-tent policy.

"The notion of an Academy Award movie isn't going to be changed," Christine Birch, president of marketing for DreamWorks said.

Here's what that means to the Class of 2009's hopefuls:

TV's Not-So-Star-Spangled Stars: Rate Their Accents!

Without A Trace, Mariane Jean-Baptiste, Anthony LaPaglia ,Poppy Montgomery Cliff Lipson/CBS
More from Watch with Kristin

Hollywood celebrates the Fourth of July like everyone else in America: fireworks, parades, picnics and firing up the barbie.

Scratch that—reverse it: grill! Americans fire up the grill.

Here's a little irony to spread on your hot dog: Plenty of actors in Tinseltown will be partying alongside us this weekend as we commemorate our independence from the tyranny of...their homeland. Many of our fave red-blooded American TV characters are played by British blue bloods, and that's cool, but let's face it, some accents are better than others.

So which thesps have you fooled, and which make you cry, "Oi!"? Read 'em and rate 'em in our Sham Yankees photo gallery!

Swanky Saturdays: Beyoncé's Look for Less

Some women work out to nab a man. But Beyoncé stays in shape because of her Oscar dream—and her need to wear skinny jeans.

Jay-Z's wifey showed her helping hand and a superhot bod at Hamburger Helper's hunger relief initiative at Madison Square Garden. The black-and-white palette was right in tune with her new music video and we like the natural curls way better than the severely straight hair she sported in her charity commercial. Here's how you can get B's dangerously lovely look for under 65 bucks!

Potent Anesthetic Found in Michael Jackson's Home

Law enforcement sources have reportedly recovered a potent anesthetic from inside Michael Jackson's Holmby Hills home.

Propofol, which is generally used for surgeries and clinical procedures, was one of many drugs uncovered at the home, according to the Los Angeles Times. It is commonly referred to as Diprivan and is administered by IV for anesthesia. In as little as 40 seconds, the drug can cause the patient to experience hypnosis, the publication noted.

Officials have confirmed to E! News that prescription drugs were found in the home, but declined to specify exactly what they were. The DEA has joined the investigation.

Earlier this week, former Jackson nutritionist Cherilyn Lee claimed that she warned the entertainer about taking certain drugs, just five days before his death. She claimed Jackson said he was struggling with insomnia and virtually begged her to give him Diprivan.

Jackson Memorial Service Details Revealed

Loading...

Family, friends and fans of Michael Jackson are finally being given the opportunity to celebrate the life of the King of Pop.

Days of speculation were put to rest Friday morning as the details on the spectacle henceforth known as the Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service were unveiled by city officials, Jackson reps and AEG Live, which is hosting the event. As previously reported, the memorial will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

"It is the family's wish to create a service and celebration that all of Michael's fans around the world can be a part of," said AEG CEO and President Tim Leiweke.

The event will be available on a worldwide feed and free to air on any network, including E! and E! Online. "We encourage you to watch the memorial from your home," said Jan Perry, a city councilwoman.

One reason? There are only a lucky few who will be able to attend the memorial.

A total of 17,500 tickets will be made available to the general public—11,000 for inside the Staples Center and the remaining 6,500 who will be able to watch from across the street at the Nokia Center, which will be filled with huge-screen TVs streaming the live event.

Michael Jackson Death Theories: the Roundup

Michael Jackson Dave Hogan/Getty Images

What killed Michael Jackson? Perhaps the question should be: What didn't kill Michael Jackson?

With a situation as fluid as a Motown 25 moonwalk, and pending toxicological results from a pair of autopsies, there is no shortage of theories as to what, or who, killed the King of Pop.

We were going to say we assembled the top ones below in order of most plausible to, well, less plausible, but with this story we're not sure there's a distinction. We settled for alphabetical order.

Accidental Overdose, aka Performer's Remorse

According to the Daily Beast, Jackson didn't want to do his London concerts, couldn't afford to cancel them, and thus came up with, as one source put it to the site, "a note from the doctor." Namely, the entertainer downed a lot of prescription drugs with the intention of O.D.'ing, forcing a hospital visit—and, back to the top, getting out of the shows.
